If I could choose between chocolate and sleep, then I would choose sleep.
Dream scenario: Eating chocolate while catching those Z's!

Decadent? Yes. Life is complete? Also Yes.
But the latest fad is:
🛌Sleep Tourism: A Bizarrely Intriguing Concept
Upon hearing the phrase "Sleep Tourism", my mind was sent into a flurry of images – globetrotting solely to snooze in various locales, sampling the latest sleep-inducing amenities like cutting-edge pillows, mattresses, and sheets across different hotels.
However, reality intervened.
Far from a positive, adventurous endeavor, it turned out to be a pursuit of peace and quiet. The core idea of Sleep Tourism is to secure accommodations that assure undisturbed slumber, despite the clamor of the surrounding environment.
Imagine cities like New York, Berlin, or Las Vegas, known for their non-stop party atmosphere; Sleep Tourism is about finding spots in such bustling metropolises where you can actually get a restful sleep, courtesy of suitable soundproofing measures in place.
Yes, it's as real as it gets.
An entire industry is sprouting around this notion with dedicated websites guiding you to tranquil vacation spots promising a sound sleep. Talk about catching your dreams on the go!
OTOH, perhaps if you want a really great sleep, then the best thing to do would be to stay at home, as personally that is where I sleep best!
Bed Rotting For Non-Teenagers
The trend of "bed rotting" encourages chillin' in bed for long stretches as a kind of self-care. It's all about lounging around in your comfy bed, doing things like scrolling on your phone, reading, or binge-watching your favorite show to take a break from the daily grind.

This is probably NOT how bed rotting usually looks!
In moderation, bed rotting can be a legit form of self-care, but experts are saying that it's good to balance it out with some physical activity and other stuff that brings meaning to your life.
Now, bed rotting isn't all roses. There are some health risks to be aware of.
If you're always inactive, you can fall into a sedentary state, lose muscle mass, and even become more susceptible to nasty stuff like diabetes and heart disease.
In fact, a study from the University of Liverpool said these nasty side effects could show up in as little as two weeks of inactivity.
Experts also say beds should mainly be for three S's:
Sleep, Sex, and Sickness.
If you start associating your bed with other activities, it can mess with your sleep quality.
Update on the Bulb Spritz Hack
I previously told you about spraying fragrance on a lightbulb, and that it would heat up and spread the pleasant smell throughout the room.
A few people (Thanks Mark H., Shani B., and Ilyse K) emailed me about whether this will work with LED bulbs. The answer is YES. I know, because I do it! Most LED bulbs do become hot, just not as hot as the old-fashioned type.

Flip a Coin for Decisions:

If you're wrestling with a decision and are uncertain, give a coin a flip. Usually, if there was a clear 'correct' decision, you'd already have made it. As the coin ascends, you'll likely identify which outcome you're truly rooting for.
Shower Thoughts About Sleeping:
Sleep is like a free trial of death but without the commitment.
We spend roughly one-third of our lives unconscious in a suspended state we don't fully understand.
How wild is it that we have to pretend to be asleep before we actually fall asleep?
It's fascinating that we all agree to hallucinate together every night (dreaming) and then rarely discuss the shared experience.
Sleep is the body's way of running diagnostics and rebooting for the next day.
