The Baseline To Improving A Man's Value 💹😝

I need your help with Smelly Anna...

In today’s email:

  • The Masculinity Baseline 👨🏼‍🦰

  • Speaking to smelly Anna! 🦨

  • Get therapy 👩‍⚕️

I am jealous of men.

I shouldn't be, really, as I love being a woman, but the effort they need to make with their looks is so minimal. I call this the baseline.

He’s not even washing his hair!

Masculinity Baseline:

  • Shave their face (if relevant) and have a haircut occasionally

  • Trim nose hairs, ear hairs, and eyebrows

  • Cut nails

  • Put on some clothes that don't look like they have been used for the last few weeks for manual labor.

  • Brush teeth and small clean

And that's literally it!

💡💡💡(If you have a man in your life, then forward them this email and then they'll know the basics!)

Compare that with what many women do, and you'll see why I'm jealous. If I'm going for a big night out, I start planning how I'm going to look the night before and then most of the next day I'm preparing. My husband knows not to disturb me if I am in 'preparation mode'.

😂😂😂 Hahaha!

My Smelly Friend Anna

Obligatory...her name isn't really Anna!

So, I have a friend Anna. She really smells. Not of sweat or BO or other bodily fluids. She just smells strong.

She knows it and is also a big complainer about her lack of 'bumpies', and it has been like that for a few years.

So, I’ve done the research…

I've decided that I will talk to her (brave or stupid?), but not exactly sure what I should suggest.

She is way past the obvious advice like bathing, deodorant, medical problems, etc.

This is what I have come up with so far:

1. So, one solution is a product called Lume. It doesn't stop you from sweating, but what it does is make your sweat smell better or neutralize the smell. It's around $10-$15, so definitely worth a try.

2. Some bacteria can cause a smell, which can be easily fixed by an anti-bacterial or anti-fungal ointment. This can be anywhere on your body (hands, knees, ears, etc.) and easily fixed.

3. Different foods can have a massive effect on how you smell. Not just your breath but your whole body. My partner won't get near me for a few days if I have humus or other foods containing garlic. She'll have to do some research on this one herself, but perhaps changing her diet will work. Or perhaps medication.

4. Have you heard of laundry stripping? It is a method of deep cleaning laundry to remove the buildup of detergent residue, fabric softener, body oils, sweat, and other materials that may not be removed by a regular washing cycle. You fill the bathtub with water and detergent and let your clothing/ linens soak overnight.

By the way, she is a VERY good friend, and also very open, so I am 100% sure that she won't take offense to me speaking with her.

Can you suggest anything else? Much appreciate it if you could reply to this email to let me know what you suggest or leave a comment.

Dispropotional Life Hack

(This is where we give you a tip that is easy to do, yet will disproportionally improve your life.)

Photo showing a choir which I would like to be a part of!

I am in a choir with some millennials and the conversation turned around to dating and therapy. Almost unanimously, they all had therapy regularly with a psychologist or psychotherapist. And these are pretty 'ordinary' people who I wouldn't have picked out as being particularly vulnerable.

Unlike when I grew up, it seems very acceptable to have therapy and not only if you have problems.

So, my tip is:

Go to therapy and work through anything that’s holding you back from being happy. Nothing attracts success more than someone who is genuinely happy.

Nb. If you want to know why choirs can be great therapy also, then go Google the phrase: Collective Effervescence. Probably has connections to worship also, but will try and talk more about that in a future issue.

Shower Thoughts About Getting Older

  1. Aging is the only thing that allows us to witness the wonders of the world evolve and change in real time. It's like having a front-row seat to the greatest show on Earth.

  2. Aging allows us to continually redefine ourselves. With each new year, we're given the chance to discover new passions, explore new places, and forge new relationships.

  3. Without aging, we wouldn't be able to appreciate the sweetness of nostalgia - the joy of looking back at our past and recognizing how far we've come.

  4. Aging is like turning the pages of a book. Each chapter brings a new story, a new adventure, and a new opportunity to learn and grow.
